Project One
Audacity
My first assignment was creating music through the audacity app. It was a fun project as I was able to experience a new creative side of mine and it showcased what my imagination was capable of. I wanted to produce music that was calm and gentle which is why I chose a slow-tempo rhythm as my melody. Background noises were a requirement that had to be included so I chose raindrop noises and cars passing by as I wanted my listeners to imagine driving at night in the rain while listening to the radio. Overall, the assignment was not easy as I have never produced music before nor was I familiar with the Audacity app. At the end of the day, I push myself through it and tried the best that I could.
Audacity Two
My second assignment was using the same Audacity project that I created for my first assignment. This time, my voice needed to be included throughout the music. At first, when I was assigned the requirement, I was not comfortable as I found myself not having a nice voice. I spent days trying to figure out how and what I needed to say to make my music sound nice as it was gonna be presented to the class. The night that it was due, I decided I needed to input something and just hope for the best. When background noises needed to be added as part of the first assignment, I portrayed my voice as the person that was driving the car in the rain. I knew that as long as I met the requirements and tried my best then it was good enough for me.
